Bows will always be a classic style essential. I love how feminine and simple this cream bow tie shift looks. It will be super easy to wear for work, brunch, dinner with the parents, etc. I love having items that I know will remain in style forever and in neutral colors. This is certainly a classic I'm excited to keep! I paired them with some lovely Loren Hope studs curtesy of Rocksbox, where you can get unlimited jewlery for $19/month. Enjoy!

Mother's day is around the corner and I am proud to announce I will be back in Chicago this year to celebrate with my mom for the first time in several years! It's an easy holiday to forget to plan for when you live miles away, but a great excuse to remind yourself and others of all the amazing things mother's do for us day after day, that we tend to take for granted. Hope you enjoy my gift guide, and get those floral orders made in plenty of time!

Much love,

I have to admit, I NEVER wear rompers! I have tried and tried since the trend first started and the moment never quite happened for me, until now! This Tobi cream lace romper fit so well I am kinda sad I didn't buy a Coachella ticket! It is very feminine and super comfy. I love the tie and cutout detail below it. The lace is sheer on the arms and upper back but lined where it matters. I'd recommend wearing my favorite backless bra. Enjoy!

Hope you enjoyed this look, find it here, tassel heels here, floppy hat (old) but similar hereand many more lovely party dresses, jumpsuits and rompers from Tobi here

One of the best and most summery color combinations is blue and white! It's classic, fresh and will forever be one of my essential style aesthetics. Since spring is all about the preppy dress and summer is right around the corner here are some styles to get you started, enjoy!

1. Perform more random acts of kindness.

A good friend of mine sent me the most adorable mini Moscow mule in the mail. The occasion for such a delectable gift? Just because. She said it reminded her of me and it was much appreciated. Considering so many of my friends live across the country in Chicago, performing more random acts of kindness is high on my list. Even some of my girlfriends who live down the street are hard to get to, as we all have busy schedules and jobs, making snail mail, sweet texts, and little gifts all the more valuable. So my goal this month is to be more thoughtful and send some kind sentiments to the people I love and perhaps even the ones I don't know. For example, my friend often leaves money for the next person at Starbucks, or a nice note on someone's car. Whether it's big or small, it's really just the thought that counts!

2. Try a Korean spa.

I am often in Koreatown, Los Angeles, for work and have been hearing about the amazing spa scene happening right around the corner. I have never been a big spa-goer, mostly because I could never justify spending money on a day of relaxation over a new pair of shoes. However, as I have gotten older I have started to value and prioritize rest and self care much more. On my birthday last year I went to a spa for a few hours and felt completely rejuvenated after. I just couldn't believe how relaxed I felt and it's truly a wonderful feeling. Korean spas are also more cost effective then the ones at hotels. First up on my list is Wi Spa, in the center of Koreatown, but I would love some more recommendations nearby. If you aren't in Los Angeles, check out GrouponLiving Social and Lifebooker for discounted spa packages and treatments. If you live in a big city like me, most luxury hotels have frequent spa specials and they often allow access to other amenities like the pool and gym.

3. Wake up early and go to the Original Los Angeles Flower Mart.

I have been meaning to go to this place forever! I've heard nothing but good things about the beautiful selection of flowers, all perfectly laid out before the sun rises, primarily for merchants but open to general public as well. Springtime means peony season and I am oh so excited to get my hands of some fresh ones, early in the AM. Wish I had an occasion to make an arrangement, I am seriously considering creating a flower budget for my apartment. Makes me so happy to see them when I come home.

4. Call my long distance friends regularly.

I have always struggled to keep in touch with friends, whether they live near me or not, but especially since so many friends from college and high school are across the country. Time goes by so fast and when I am in Chicago I always feel so incredibly guilty for not being able to see everyone. I know that I can't be expected to stay in touch with everybody 100% of the time or see all of my girlfriends every trip, but after running into a good friend on the train on my way out of Chicago a few weekends back, I couldn't help but feel terrible about not having called to catch up at the very least. Fortunately, we have phones, email, texts and of course, snail mail to keep in touch. My goal is to do a better job of using them!

5. Hike more.

When I first moved to Los Angeles hiking was one of the most important activities and I don't think I really need to explain why. Aside from the gorgeous views of the city, natural landscape, sunshine and fresh air, some of my favorite hikes are practically next door. It's a free workout in a city full of expensive spin classes and uber chic workout wear. It's also a place I can see lots of adorable pups and hope one of them lets me pet them for a few seconds. That's not at all creepy, thank you very much. Somewhere between running down San Vicente and joining ClassPass I have lost my motivation to run up the hill!

Hope you enjoyed my "M" list! What's on your list this month?
